- Tank Size: Minimum tank size of 75 gallons recommended to accommodate its size and swimming needs
- Tank Type: Reef tanks with ample swimming space and live rock for grazing
- Behavior: Generally peaceful, though territorial behaviors can manifest with other tangs
- Compatibility: Best kept with other peaceful species; may show aggression towards similar-looking species or conspecifics
- Feeding: Herbivorous; diet should primarily consist of marine algae, seaweed, and quality herbivore preparations
