Description
Cirrhilabrus scottorum – The males of this species, like most of the fairy wrasses, is much more attractive than the females (as a result, females are rarely collected). Being protogynous hermaphrodites, pairs or groups sold in the trade will consist of “more colorful” and “less colorful” specimens, not textbook male/female examples. Generally a great community fish with a passive disposition. The Australian Scott’s Fairy Wrasse is the most impressive.
